Medical Translation
The medical industry has experienced rapid growth in order to meet the health requirements of the people. As various countries continue to develop innovative medical products, the need for language solutions on a global scale has increased substantially. Meanwhile, managing languages and international regulatory affairs are among the most critical aspects of developing and marketing products for the medical industry. Any mistake, no matter how minor, can delay product approvals, launches, or even cause unexpected disasters.
Beijing E-C Translation Ltd. (BEC) provides specialist language solutions for clients from some of the world's largest medical product manufacturers and service providers, which cover medical devices and software, healthcare, hospitals, protocol, medicine and pharmaceuticals. We totally understand what translation quality means to the medical industry, and we invest a lot in following aspects during the entire project.
Team Qualification
A good team is critical to ensure high quality, and medical translation is a highly specialized discipline that should only be carried out by suitably qualified translators. BEC has a dedicated in-house team for medical projects that consists of only qualified translators (and editors and proofreaders). All of them have a strong background in medical science, with at least a BA in medicine, pharmacology, or biomedicine. We also have a big base of freelance medical translators who are carefully chosen and tested. We can build teams quickly to support large projects or projects requiring a fast turnaround, at the same time ensuring that the complex medical, pharmaceutical or legal information is being conveyed accurately. All translations are carried out exclusively by native speakers.
Terminology
Thanks to the terminology solution "SmarTerm" which was developed by BEC itself, the team can create, maintain and have access to a consistent glossary during the whole project, in addition to translation memories and dictionaries. The glossary will be reviewed and confirmed by specialists who are doctors or biomedical engineers who have experience in the client's particular medical field, and approved by the client's local office or staff if applicable.
