Interpretation

Our general process for interpretation is as follows:

1 Clients propose requirements for interpretation; the basic information should include:

  Language and date required
  Estimated duration
  Subject or purpose of interpretation
  Interpretation type
Any case or file reference if applicable.
The precise location of the interpretation

Some other special requirements may also be proposed at this stage, such as solid knowledge in some areas for interpreters or on-site in-advance preparation, etc. Our project manager would work out the best solution based on the requirements.

2 Two interpreters are selected if it will be simultaneous interpretation lasting longer than one hour or consecutive interpretation lasting longer than six hours. The reason is that these two types of interpretation require interpreters to highly focus their attention and react quicker than ordinary people. Therefore, no interpreter can keep up this high level of concentration for a long period of time, and if interpreters consecutively interpret without any rest, the interpretation quality will begin to suffer.

3 The appointed interpreters study the material and make sufficient preparation before the interpretation. If the situation allows, our interpreters will communicate with the speakers in advance to become familiar with their speaking style and accent.

4 Our interpreters arrive on site ready to provide professional interpretation services in suitable attire.

5 After the completion of the service, our project manager communicates with the clients to get feedback, evaluates interpreters' performance and records the results in our quality assurance system.
